Have Items You’d Like to Sell?

Selling on your own can be tricky, so here are a few notes to help.

The store itself doesn’t buy items, but the vintage and antique dealers who rent booths at our store do. We’ll forward your submission and your contact info to them.

To price your items, look at what similar pieces have actually sold for (eBay shows sold prices). Active listings on eBay or sites like 1stdibs are top-of-market asking prices for buyers willing to ship across the country, and they’re still unsold. Our dealers sell locally to the Syracuse market, so they buy at a realistic local price, less overhead and some room for profit.

Please include up to four photos: general shots that show condition, or groupings if there are several items, plus any maker’s marks or manufacturing info. Including your asking price really helps. We get many submissions daily and dealers only have so much time on the road buying, so an attractive price is the best way to get their attention. A high price or “listening to offers” usually won’t, even on a desirable piece.

Add your contact info below so dealers can reach you. We process submissions daily, and interested dealers will contact you directly. If you don’t hear back within 3 to 4 days, it likely means no one is currently interested, and we’d suggest Facebook Marketplace, eBay, or Craigslist.

We don’t have an appraiser on staff. For an appraisal, including estate appraisals (usually at an hourly rate), we recommend Bruce Block at Antique Underground. Reach out to him directly for details.
